I was never going to smite you but i was thinking about starting a hockey rap battle. Cooler heads prevailed however and i decided against it.

Sabres winger Jason Pominville celebrates the eventual game-winning goal. Buffalo defeated Atlanta 4-3 Saturday night.A look into the future.... Eleventh HeavenPominville scores twice, including the winnerBUFFALO- They couldn't hide it. They couldn't even pretend not to know. A week after breaking the franchise record for wins to open the season, defensemen Henrik Tallinder and Toni Lydman didn't even know what they had accomplished. But with smiles from ear to ear following a 4-3 victory over the Trashers- an NHL record 11th consecutive victory to open the season- there was no denying the Buffalo Sabres knew they had made history.

Dude, if you jinx this poop, I'll kill you. Seriously. ATL is gonna be tough, maybe the toughest so far this season. They've only lost once in regulation so far. But someone once told me a jinx isn't a jinx until someone points out its a jinx. For example, Buffalo will win tomorrow night. <---- not a jinx Dude, you just jinxed it. <------ definitely a jinx So its on you now dude

Everyone on here already knows how i feel about the sabres "record" and that not why i posted the 15 game undefeated streak. I posted it because it had not yet been brought up yet. Thats the next goal for the sabres. And by the way, if the sabres do reach the 15 game undefeated streak, it would be more impressive than when the other teams did it.

He told his wife I was getting the tickets so she can't tell him he's not allowed to go. She does that a lot. They have a kid and I don't know her work schedule. But if he's allowed out of the house earlier than game time, I will see you at Pearl Street. TICKETS TO HISTORY! Edit: My 300th post. My employers should give me more (or less) work to do.

If the chance to set the record isn't enough, you've got the top 2 teams in the Eastern Conference playing tonight, plus the two guys tied for the NHL lead in points (Afinogenov and Hossa).
Anyone else going to be there? I'll be at center ice, 15 rows up on the penalty box side.

OK... so the Sabres lost. No big deal, they'll just go 80-1-1 (I have a bad feeling about the Columbus Blue Jackets).
Southhampton, do you still consider the Sabres undefeated? After all, they lost in a shootout.

I have no idea how to classify it, if i had to pick i would say yes, they are still undefeated. The way they have it now it makes the winning streak easier to attain and the undefeated streak harder.

You can't quite call it undefeated or unbeaten because technically they have been. However, Buffalo has an 11 game point streak and IMO can still match the Oilers start of 10-0-5 to start a season. Thats 25 of a possible 30 points in 15 games. Buffalo has earned 21 of a possible 22 points to start this season....pretty fuckin impressive.

You also have to remember how much easier it is to score points in the new NHL. You get a point just for getting to overtime and the extra point you get for winning a shootout as opposed to just finishing with a tie.
