The commercials for all these whack jobs crack me up. I was watching one for that Michael Steele guy yesterday. I don't know what this cat is all about politcally, but I sure as hell wouldn't vote for him because he has a creepy porno / child-molester mustache. And so do his fat slob kids who are about 14 and 16. They were on yesterday, and looked like absolute General Tso's Chickentards.

Mike Tyson endorses Michael Steele. That's enough for me. "Michael Steele loves dogs" (you gotta live here to get it) Yeah, but Rimrocka, it isn't even his dog.

I'm not going to vote either, and I'm registered to in VA. I'm convinced either side isn't going to make any difference any more. One is going to have a good idea and the other is going to shoot it down and vice versa and it will go back and forth forever. I started following politics when I first moved here but I got sick of it quick. Every happy hour you go to on the hill you see a bunch of asshats wearing fancy suits and bragging who they work for or what party is doing what. It gets annoying quick. All of them act snobbish but the majority are gofers for people and make between 20-30k anyway, and it's laughable how serious they take it. I'm fed up wit hthe whole system and knowing one of two people are going to win and even then make little or no difference to me anyway.

Wu, even if you go to the polls and write in "$ymmetry" or "Mary Boyle Aloha", you're still making a statement. The only wasted vote is one not cast. I've always considered running for Congress...doubt I'd actually do it.

We shouldn't make up bullpoop reasons why we don't vote, we should just be honest. I'm not voting because I'm lazy. I was too lazy to register when I moved to Virginia. The Virginia voter registration card has been in my "to do" stack for months. I'm also too lazy to learn anything about these political tards to make an educated vote. And lastly, I'm too lazy to drive my ass out to whereever I have to vote. But I did vote for the presidential election this last time around. I think if it's something you can picture yourself complaining about, you better make a vote one way or the other or you lose your right to bizzle. Nothing worse than someone who bizzlees about George Bush all day, but didn't bother to go out and vote for the other guy. Now if whatever political hack gets voted into Virginia offices this time around make some rule to make VA a dry state or something then I'll feel pretty General Tso's Chickening stupid for not voting.

I made the point to a coworker at lunch that if you could vote online, more people would. We came up with two major issues: 1. Stolen identity and illegally voting 2. It was strong belief that more "republican" voters would have access to the internet than democrats and thusly could sway the vote that way.
I am not sure if those are viable cons, but just wanted to see what everyone thought of online voting options and the pros/cons to it.

For every ass-kissing, spotlight-grabbing, mudslinging jerkoff out there, there are others genuinely working hard to better their districts. I realize I'm only saying that because my other brother's a politician, along with a buddy's father.
I hate all the negative ads. Around here the worst ones are Reynolds vs. Davis, which somehow is a close election. Some people want to re-elect the guy who encouraged homosexual child predator Foley to run for Congress.
Last year there were a bunch of negative ads attacking my brother. I'd get mail bashing him from his dildo of an opponent, saying he supported raising taxes, closing libraries, and raping babies. It really pissed me off, especially from a guy with a scandal-riddled past. My bro won in a landslide victory. In June this year, I gave that dickwad what he deserved: nothing. He was the bartender at a wedding I attended, and I didn't tip him. Close libraries my ass.

Vinny,
Sorry for making a blanket sweeping statment about politicians. I certainly don't think your brother is a political tard. I don't know him personally, but he doesn't seem very tardlike from what I've heard.
Agree about the negative ad campaigns. All they do is end up making everyone look bad. I try to never support anyone or anything that is more in the business of making their competition look bad than explaining why their product or person is the better choice.
For example, I very rarely drink Miller Lite. Those commercials constantly trashing Bud Light piss me off, even though Bud Light does taste like shit.

This guy has been running for Congress here in Maryland for awhile: www.mcpeekforcongress.com/I agree with some of his policies and might vote for him. In Virginia everyone should vote for "the rail" www.gailparker.us/I would definitely like your tax money and car tax money to lessen traffic. Somethings got to be done over there.
