For every ass-kissing, spotlight-grabbing, mudslinging jerkoff out there, there are others genuinely working hard to better their districts. I realize I'm only saying that because my other brother's a politician, along with a buddy's father. Vinny I support your brother. Even more so because he contributed to my stag.

He only contributed to your stag because it was an election year.

couple of points I agree with, one I wont be complaining about any of the guys I did or didnt vote for or against because I didnt take the time to vote. I dont even know who the current people are in VA anyway to decide if they did a good or bad job. Being here a few years and not owning a house I dont really get too into VA politics. I voted for president though so I am registeres. Second I am also being lazy like Cosmo and would rather go get a fw drinks after work instead of waiting in lines to vote for people I dont even know.
Also I would for sure vote on-line for everything but I couldnt fathom the problems that would come of that with hackers and everything. They cant even get the machines to count correctly let alone get them online. Being a govt employee myself I can tell you that they are at the low end for technology adoption compared to companies.

I didn't edit softintheo's pic because of anything bad, but because it was way too big. Huge pictures that need scrolling really General Tso's Chicken up threads. So I tried resizing it and messed it all up on accident. I'll ask him if he can repost the original picture.

Speaking of politicos, from the 2005 Pig Book Summary (a report detailing the wasteful projects Congress approves each year):
40,665,000 for projects in the district of House VA/HUD Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman James Walsh (R-N.Y.), including: $12,000,000 for continued clean water improvements to Onondaga Lake; $7,000,000 for the Environmental Systems Center of Excellence at Syracuse University; $4,000,000 for a new science center at St. Bonaventure University (Rep. Walsh’s alma mater, whose primary academic concentrations are education and theology); $1,500,000 for Onondaga County’s Metropolitan Water Board to determine the feasibility of bringing naturally chilled water from Lake Ontario to Lake Onondaga and Oswego County; $150,000 for Syracuse for building renovations and stabilization at the Mitzpah Tower facility (according to the Syracuse City Eagle, "The renovated structure would have 100 rooms, facilities for conferences and a business center. The existing symphony hall will be renovated into a ballroom for weddings, corporate functions or dinner theater and an on-premises gym would be contracted out to a known gym facility. A four-star restaurant with an upscale lounge and billiard room would also be built"); and $75,000 for Onondaga County for the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame.
