I saw this on another message board, and I think it's a great idea. We should come up with some categories of posts and threads and maybe even posters and hand out some awards. These will just be honorary titles and not official awards.
Some examples:
Photoshop of the Year
Thread of the Year
Post of the Year
Worst post of the year
And we can even come up with some even more creative catetgories like favorite fake poster award (I think we know who will win that one) Let's first agree on a list of categories, then we will start accepting nominations for the different categories, and then of course we will vote for a winner. And maybe we'll have this all wrapped up by New Years.

I know it's too early, but I would like to nominate all of Bonafide's stories. From sharting in the store (sans underpant breach), to shitting in the kid's clubhouse on seperate occasions and then burning it to the ground, to searching for the elusive Genny Cream and Vietnamese poon with his boy. Hell, Bonafide can be Postman of the Year.
I also feel obligated to nominate S Dot's stories that were so bad they had to be relocated to the emergency board.
Thread of the year: Original $ymmetry thread, followed by it's Beveltastic sequel.

Best Freestyle Rap of the Year comes to mind, as well as 'Tard or 'Tard Pic of the Year.

I love this idea cosmo. How about 'Biggest Douche', oh wait, we covered that already. We should give out individual awards to posters too, IE. favorite poster, funniest poster, most likely to be fired, most likely to end up on 'To Catch a Predator', etc.

All great ideas. I'll let the ideas keep flowing until about tomorrow afternoon then I'll put together a list of categories. Then we'll start accepting nominations.

Just to put everything in perspective, just noticed we are coming up on our 200th member (199 as on 4:17 pm), while the BANNEDwagon, which has been around for however long has only 799 members (as of 4:16 pm). I think this speaks volumes to what we bring to the table both about Bonas and in general.

Bevel man of the Year is great call, but I think it might be an honorary one we should give to $ym as without him, none of this would likely have been possible.

Id throw best avatar, anthony solomon award(dumbest poster), and maybe have whoever does best in all catagories be crowned the bevel man of the year. The Dumbest Poster should be the Symmetry Award.

Greatest attack post on the BANNEDwagon, best filter of 2006.... and while this might rub some bevelators the wrong way, I'd like to nominate the May 2006 graduation as a turning point on the bevel. Here's why:
It was the first graduating class while the Bevel existed. It was the last class to truly remember Symmetry (we were freshmen when he was a super senior).
And while I registered for this board back when it branched off the BANNEDwagon, I never really posted on here until a few weeks after graduation. The bevel was thriving on it's own, but I'd like to think there were some big additions to the bevel out of the 06 class. Mrsmiff, juicey, southampton and myself are among them.
There's a certain connection between our class and the '01/'02 class which predominantly makes up the origination of this board. Several 02 bevelators passed the torch to us at Bonaventure. I remember meeting cosmo and wutang (and maybe some others) through Rimrocka.
He brought us to his townhouse and to the piss house one night (when wutang tried to climb out the window and everyone thought he was puking) showing us what Bonaventure is all about.
And years later I still remember the brief meeting.
We lived with Vinny's little brother.
Now it comes full circle. The senior class and its freshmen class reunited to create the greatest bonaventure alumni group.
Two other awards I just thought of: Vietnam veteran poster of the year, and Ron gets my vote for "greatest bevelator occupation of the year"

as an 06'er i agree the 06'ers added some power to the bevel. from posts about smoking hot babes like glitter to tales of sym that had yet to be heard and a nice thread about south buffalo stories. BLAU!

Theres no doubt you 06er's have been a huge addition to the Bevel. Its great that this board can be a common thread to such a diverse audience. BLAU

As much as I could care less about hockey, no offense to anyone, I have to say the signature Sdot has is worthy of an award. Did southampton make that for you?
If so, he's sweeping my signature card with 1st place going to the one he created for you, and second place for the one OleanRon had for a short while (sweet chin music to wick).
I hope my above post didn't come across as arrogant about the 06 class. Like I said before, for someone that had no real connection to Bonaventure before I went there (my uncle went back in the 80s but we never really talked about it until I decided to go there) I was shown the bona ropes by your 02'ers. And I appreciate it.
