Horan leaving will be a blow to the Finance department, but thankfully it will still be pretty stacked. I heard that the CFA job offered him so much money he would have been crazy not to take it. Giles once referred to Steve as "A money making machine".
He is a really cool guy and will be missed.

I'm sure Horan will be missed at SBU. He was quite a character, and his classes were great.

anyone who had a class with horan (is it pronunce whore-ann or horn?) can vouche he made any class great. Also, I had the good fortune of going on some field trips, chicago twice and toronto with him and those were times to remember. Did any other bevels take those trips?

Also? CFA instructors make a boatload of cash, I'm taking a class now and the professor charges two grand for private tutoring sessions, and there's about 200 kids taking this 12 week class at $1300 each for one instructor

I was lucky enough to be in Chi town with Rocka, Cosmo, etc. Nobody had any idea how to do the options and we just all decided to go to Thinkorswim.com then go to the Wrigley. Rim Rocka danced next to a dude playing the bucket on the street. It was hilarious....
