I'm guessing its just an accident. I just saw this news too and was heading to the Bevel to report it.
Bevel NYC correspondent Whyamisobig, can you see the smoke or anything from where you are?

Why am I so far away
I can't see anything from down here, not likely a terrorist, they hit an apartment building. Mixed reports that it's either a helicopter or propeller plane, how come eyewitnesses never see the same thing? Either way, its a very small fire and should be contained quickly

My wife is about ten blocks away...she can see the smoke from her building and the sirens. Her friend works in the building over, but I'm assuming she's okay--I'm betting that they evacuated her.
If I had a recorder, I'd call into our local ABC station as an eyewitness: "The theory is that the pilot deliberately flew into the building because he was depressed that he couldn't get Howard Stern on Sirius."

We have a breaking story from Manhattan this afternoon where it appears an aircraft has crashed, possibly deliberately, into a Manhattan highrise.....(under breath) apartment building. Let's go now to Fox News correspondent John Thompson who is in Manhattan. John, fill us in on whats happened there today.
Well Maggie it appears an aircraft, possibly a large commercial jet, has crashed, possibly deliberately, into a highrise apartment complex. We are unaware of why terrorists, if they are indeed responsible, would attack this residential building but can only assume its because we're American.
John, do you have any confirmation on injuries or any casulaties?
At least point we have no confirmed deaths or injuries, but one can assume that terrorist pilot, if he was a terrorist, is dead. Another successful day in the War on Terror.
John, any chance this wasn't a terrorist attack?
Not really Maggie, although we are receiving some conflicting reports that the pilot was a Democrat. This residential area is full of good-natured, God-fearing Republican citizens and many say this type of act is not beneath even the Democrats.
Ok, thanks John Thompson in Manhattan. In case you're just joining us, a possible terrorist attack in NYC on the 61st month anniversary of September 11th......

If I had a recorder, I'd call into our local ABC station as an eyewitness: "The theory is that the pilot deliberately flew into the building because he was depressed that he couldn't get Howard Stern on Sirius." "The fire was caused by a blast of wind from Howard Stern's anus." - Captain Janks He should be all over this one.

No kidding with the political BS:
Democrat response: "The Republicans will stoop to new lows to get Foley out of the headlines." Republican response: "This plane had faulty navigation equipment because Bill Clinton got a blow job." Democrat: "I don't think the flight pattern was Intelligently Designed."
