Old School Wrestling in Da House!

Dudes, I cannot tell you how hard I marked out last night watching RAW. First of all, Ric Flair is and always shall be my all-time favorite wrestler. When he brought out Roddy Piper, I thought it was really cool, but not a shock since Piper was on RAW about a month ago. But then, when I heard the "HAHAHAHAHA!!!!", I went ballistic--IT'S THE F'N MILLION DOLLAR MAN, TED DIBIASE!!!! WITH IRWIN R. SHYSTER (IRS) NO LESS!!!! I LOVE the Million Dollar Man. One of the top three greatest characters of all time. I always said that if I ever win the $200 million lottery, I'm going to hire Virgil to follow me around so I can snap my fingers and go, "Virgil!"

After that I'm like, "Oh shit...if Flair's bringing out friends, I know who's next." Sure enough, it's THE ENFORCER, ARN ANDERSON. As someone who considered Saturday nights from 6:05-8:05 on TBS to be sacred (and back in the 80s and early 90s, Saturday was THE day for wrestling, not Monday), I was literally standing on my couch, my hand in the "four" formation in honor of the Four Horsemen. My wife was yelling at me because I woke the baby up.

I'm so hoping that my town hurries up and lets Verizon come in with their TV service, because they offer WWE 24/7. Although my wife swears up and down that we're not getting it, we're getting it. Even if I have to bribe her, I will, because everybody's got a price...for the Million Dollar Man. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

And whether you like it, or don't like it, sit back and learn to love it, because it is the best thing going today. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more Ron...the Piper thing, not so surprising... the Million Dollar Man and IRS was definitely a mark out moment...and then Double A himself...with his old school music, definitely a cool moment. I really wish that the WWE had more of those, it's whats lacking today.

I think the last time anything like that happened would have to be when Goldberg showed up unannounced and speared The Rock or when Paul Heyman reformed ECW for the first time during the ill-fated "Invasion" angle.

By the way, anyone see John Cena on Cold Pizza this morning? He of course had the WWE championship belt with him...also on the show was White Sox catcher AJ Pierzynski, who was given an honorary X Division championship by TNA a few months ago. They compared the belts and Cena said he saw the TNA belt outside in a gumball machine before he came in the studio.

Ric Flair does it again, tonight it was Piper, Sargent Slaughter and the AMERICAN DREAM DUSTY RHODES. The Bionic Elbow was in effect.

Flair lost the match but they whooped the shit out of the "spirit squad" after the match. I love the old school dudes

Man, Saturday nights from 6:05-8:05 on the Superstation were sacred. It was always the last thing I'd watch before I went out. The matches sucked usually (although one time they did a show live from the Great American Bash, which was basically giving away a Pay-Per-View quality card on live TV), but the interviews were awesome.

WWE just signed Tully Blanchard. I'm hoping next week, Flair brings out the original Four Horsemen. Simply so I can stand in my living room doing the "Four" sign.

What year is it? Ric Flair & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated Spirit Squad for the World Tag Team Championship at Cyber Sunday. Headline at wwe.com.

Its great to see flair and piper getting the gold back. I wonder how these guys can still do it.

Well, I read that Ric Flair owes quite a bit to the government, plus he just went through a really nasty divorce, so he pretty much has to keep working. Ric Flair is, by far, my all-time favorite wrestler.

Ric's still in great shape for a man his age. Roddy.... ehhh. He kept his shirt on when he wrestled monday on RAW. It was pretty ugly when he went shirtless on cyber sunday.

I still mark out for Rowdy Roddy. When I was 13, he was THE heel. Everybody just despised him. Go watch the original WrestleMania--when he comes to the ring, bagpipes a-blarin', it looks like a riot is going to break out at Madison Square Garden. I don't think I've seen anyone come close to getting that kind of heat since.
