HUGE collapse by the Detroit Tigers yesterday. Great to see that the Yanks won't have to face Santana twice in a series. I think yesterday's loss took everything out of the Tigers. Yanks in four.

Agreed. The Yanks should steamroll through the Tigers. Yankees did pretty well against them during the regular season when they weren't streggulang (Namethspeak).

Huge win by the A's this afternoon. I don't know why, but if the Yanks can get by the Tigers, the A's dont scare me. For some reason, I am just scared to death of the Twinkies.
I'd love to see this series go five games, and the Twins have to throw Santana out on the mound twice. Let these two teams beat the p!ss out of each other.

too bad you guys missed out on this guy Yea, Boston only paid a total of 103 mil for a guy who has never faced major leaguers and was MVP of a tournament where half of the major league stars didnt participate. He may turn out to be a good pitcher but I doubt hes worth 18 mil a year (roughly). |

Not to be a dick and point out the contradiction in your statement... but you said he never faced major leaguers, but then said he faced only half the major league stars in the tournament.

If you pitched to Ken Griffey Jr. at your neighborhood park, would you then go on to say you've got experience pitching to Major Leaguers?  |

As far as I'm concerned 6 years for 52 million isn't outrageous. What's outrageous is the 50 million just to get him out of his contract.
I've read such varying opinions on him from scouts ranging from a possible ace to a good #3 at best. If I remember correctly, he only had one maybe two years of dominant stats in Japan.
