Has a baseball team ever fallen out of a pennant race as fast as the Red Sox. A month ago this team was in first place and a contender for the World Series. Now they are out of not only their division and Wild Card, but have a legit shot at finishing behind the Blue Jays in the AL East. I am in no way a Yanks fan, but the fall of the Sawwx (PTI-pronunciation) has been a debocle to say the least.
The team I am rooting for now is the Marlins. A group young kids playing their asses off with a great manager in Giorardi at the helm. Too bad their owner is a douche and would like nothing more than to see his team get shelled (a la Indians' owner Rachel Phelps in Major League) so he can move it to Vegas.

Girardi might not even be back next year. He and Loria don't like each other, and it's widely known. There have been several incidents. If Loria's that stupid, then some team is going to find themselves a good manager. I say he goes back to the Cubs.
And yes, even though I'm no Yankee fan, I love the Sox collapse.

I am a Yankees fan and i love the Sox collapse but as satisfying as it is, i wish they were closer to contention. Next weekends series in NY means nothing now. As for the Marlins, the owner is a deush and shouldnt fire Girardi under any circumstances unless he fucks his wife or daughter but the team doesnt draw any fans. Im sure everyone saw the highlights last night and there was nobody in the stands. This team is 2 games out of the wild card and they draw 6,000? No wonder they cant afford to keep players.

I'll actually be at the Jake on Sept 16 for the Indians-Twins game. Cosmo, is that the stadium with the big green wall? I had a dream last night where you were at the game with Terrance Mann. You were sitting on the first base side, about halfway up...and you were eating a hot dog.

I live in S. FLA, and Dolphins training camp gets more coverage than the Marlins. Baseball doesn't draw down here for some reason, even though some of the best high school/college ball in the country is played in S. FLA.

Regarding the Sox collaspe, let me quote Eric Cartman from the episode "Scott Tenorman Must Die": "Let me taste your tears! Oh, they're so yummy and sweet! Yes, the tears of unfathomable sorrow!"
