Top 10 Schools Where Students (Almost) Never Study Article provided by The Princeton Review Don't go advertising this fact to your parents, but the college years aren't only about keeping your nose to the grindstone. The Princeton Review's annual survey of college students shows that the students at these ten schools perennially have more on their mind than just studying.
3. St. Bonaventure University (St. Bonaventure, New York) Saint Bonaventure was a 13th-century bishop. Translated, his name means, "Oh, good fortune!" If you ask students at St. Bonaventure University, they'll tell you that, when it comes to socializing, it's an apt name indeed.

I never understood why we are always ranked so much higher in hard liquor than beer. I drank plenty of hard liquor in my days there, but I drank unconscienable amounts of beer, as did most other people I know.
Maybe it has to do with all the girls doing the surveys. We know our Bona girls can party hard, plus they have that mind set that drinking liquor keeps the weight off. That worked for about 6 of them.

I think it might factor in the Brothers in the Friary enjoying the vino too.

Considering how WSBU played shitty music when I did my morning show (and it was only intervention by the then-faculty advisor that prevented us from getting booted off), I'd have killed to work there now.

Food made a huge comeback huh? I will have to check it out when I go visit my brother. We were always last in that category right? I don't know which category i helped more beer or liquor, it depends where you classify malt liquer.
Edit: I thought that said we were 2nd in food not second to last.

For those of you who are banned from the BANNEDwagon, or who haven't looked over there. This is what Jim62 had to say about the rankings:
I can't begin to tell you just how thrilled I am that Bonas is ranked right up there as one of the worst investments a family can make toward the upbringing and education of their children.
Bring on the scandels and other corruption and see just how low we can go.
How does this fit in with the threads asking for more exposure to potential students by adding football, building a new science center?
Why not just turn the RC into a big, full-time beer hall?
Why worry about SATs? Just concentrate on Sots.
Sure, I drank my fair share while there but I don't advertise it to the whole world.
Maybe we SHOULD just become a SUNY branch.

Just a quick reminder, as much as we may not be big Jim62 fans, try not to be obscene in descriptions of him or I will have to delete them. I'm pretty sure that's what got our last board taken down.
But as Mikenice points out, it was a swarmy post. That guy brings a whole new meaning to the term holier than thou. The good news I think most on the Bandwagon and BevelWagon realize he is a dick.

That guy stinks. Who does he think gets polled for these things? Just because WBEN says parents wouldn't be happy doesn't mean the students aren't. We were ranked seventh party school in 2002, and there were plenty of students rocking "WE'RE #7!" t-shirts. I was one of them. I think my dad even bought it for me parents weekend. I'd still proudly wear it but the pits are now an unsightly yellow.

Oh, for chrissakes....I would be more than happy to send my son to Bonaventure right now if he were old enough (got about another 18 years left). This list wasn't about "the Best Schools Academically" or "Top Ranked Schools in Sports" or whatever--it was a fun list. And that douchebag forgets that we are consistently ranked in the top ten, I believe, in Best Value lists, ie the amount of tuition is more than worth the education you get.
And to be honest, while I do remember some pretty awesome discussions in my English classes, for the most part my memories of college are all of social activities.
So fuck you, Jim62. Hope that wasn't obscene.

What a hypocrite! I heard from a reliable source that Jim62 sneaks over to the BevelWagon just to stare at my breasts and touch ham. Yuck! I'm sure glad that the Bevelators always behave like real gentlemen and would never do anything gross and disgusting like that. x0x0x0x0x0x0 Alison

I don't know what the fuck planet this Jim Sickstetuh character lives on. Saint Bonaventure University is significantly LESS of a partying school than when I was a student 40 years ago.
The other thing is that Jim Sickstetuh has apparently profoundly offended Alison and made her feel very uncomfortable. Can you imagine anyone acting that way (staring at Alison & self-abuse) and then having the stones to be judgemental about the SBU students? What a colossal jerk!

mrsmiff, EXALTED times ten!!!! Jim62 and Lance Bass are "special friends"!!!!! I wish I knew how to post pictures on this site...I'd have a few of my own for Jim62. It's really easy. Since I think it hasn't been posted yet on this board I'll offer a refresher course. First you must choose regular reply, as the option will not be available in quick reply (although you can type in the code manually). First you click on the button up top that looks like a little frame with a picture in it. Paste the link of the picture in between the " [/IMG]" brackets. If it is a picture you have doctored up in photoshop or paint, you will need to first upload using Imageshack or another free upload site. Imageshack works great here and the link is: imageshack.us/Just upload your image there, and copy the direct link and copy that link as directed above. Just remember to keep the pics clean. No porn or other foul images.
