First you've got Shawn Alexander thinking he can beat the Madden curse on the cover of Madden 2007. And then I see on Yahoo this morning that Matt Hasslebeck is doing Chunky Soup commercials. These players need to start respecting the Madden curse and the Chunky curse.

Now all they need is a Sports Illustrated cover to complete the Trifecta.
Not to be an asshole, but who was the last Bill featured on game covers, SI cover, and in national ad campaigns?

They should just give up now before the Bills Train comes down the track and rolls them over. Bills Train =

Well, you can't really consider game covers because Madden didn't start doing that until 1998 or 99. Wasn't the first one Eddie George in 1999? Before that I only remember John Elway's Quarterback. Reverse play every time. Doug Flutie was on the cover of SI; I only remember it because I googled Flutie yesterday. He was also in way too many ad campaigns both local and national. I do remember an article about Rob Johnson featuring him in a hot tub. That article convinced me he was a f*gg*t. OJ was all over the picturedy box for awhile, but his reality show wasn't renewed for a second season.

Couldn't the Dolphins fan have been someone way less creative and entertaining than cosmo? I want to hate these things but I can't

A few years ago Sam Adams was on the cover of SI running back an interception (or maybe a fumble).

Yeah, after I posted that all that Flutie shit came to mind.
The worst was the Long distance calling commercial where he and his brother are standing on the map of the U.S. throwing passes to each other.

Here is the history of the Madden curse
Cover athlete Impact Game Edition Shaun Alexander, Seahawks Non-displaced fracture in foot 2007 Donovan McNabb, Eagles Sports hernia in first game of season; team divided by feud with T.O. 2006 Ray Lewis, Ravens First season without INT, missed last game of season with broken wrist 2005 Michael Vick, Falcons Fractured right fibula day after game hit shelves 2004 Marshall Faulk, Rams Ankle injury, never again broke 1,000 yards for season 2003 Daunte Culpepper, Vikings Struggled to 4-7 before season-ending knee injury 2002 Eddie George, Titans Career year, but key turnover led to playoff loss 2001 Barry Sanders, Lions (shared cover with Madden) Abruptly retired week before training camp 2000 John Madden N/A 1989-2000
The Eddie George one might be a reach with only citing 1 fumble after a career year.

Are you sure about the Eddie George? I thought the career year came before the cover and he had a very mediocre season after. Editted to add: 2000 ten | 16 | 403 1509 3.7 14 | 50 453 9.1 2 | | 2001 ten | 16 | 315 939 3.0 5 | 37 279 7.5 0 | | 2002 ten | 16 | 343 1165 3.4 12 | 36 255 7.1 2 | I know George appeared on Madden 2001. So Madden 2001 would have came out before the 2001 season. And as you can see, 2001 was a very mediocre year for George with only 5 TDs and under 1,000 yards. He did bounce back in 2002 however. The career year definitely preceded the madden cover.

Your wrong, Madden 2001 would have come out for the 2000 season where he did have a career year. Just like it is 2006 and Alexander is on 2007.
