I think if the university had more 7-8 figure donors for capital campaigns they would have politely ,in as diplomatic a manner as possible, told Mr. Richter that the time was not right for the garden donation/dedication.Let's not forget that Mr. Richter has been as generous a donor as there is for the college.The college needs more Mr. Richters to survive and to improve.Mr .Richter's generosity should only be praised and thanked.I don't want anything dedicated to Wickenheiser but the pros vs the potential cons should that money be dinied (though modest) could well cost the college $10mm or more in the future.So,deal with...and I don't think the graduates of the last decade should be openly advertising where they will be urinating when they visit campus.

The point I was making was that Richter is a very important donor to the college at a time when donors with those means are critical to the survival of the university.I wouldn't be pissin' on a Richter-type donor.The college has too few large donors.But I guess the Fransiscan spirit is lost with some.Let me repeat.I DO NOT want any tribute to Wick but I do understand the value of a Richter-type donor.Your 50 buck donation and 2cents SBU can do without.It doesn't cut it.
