Cliff Clavin was recently in Olean. His show, "How It's Made" featured CUTCO--the Olean Knife Company that is a platinum Bona's sponsor.
Make's you wonder if old Cliff stopped into Olean Cheers or Tito's Taproom for that matter!
There was a breif history of Olean, NY. He went on to say that CUTCO came about when ALCOA and Case Knives merged.
If anyone took Carl Case's MIS class, they might remember that he did some work for CUTCO during college and continued for a brief time before he did his Carl Case thing and returning to Bona's to again do another Carl Case thing. They got some sharp knives. They also showed some college students walking through the semi-circle thing of Dev that split 1st Dev in 1/2--or where some might recall the place the trains used to paas through Dev's U-yard.
Case closed!
I liked the Carl Case class.

Trains never passed through Dev. Trains did stop near the rear of Delaroche when it was first bulit. Actually, what is now the rear of Delaroche was actually the front of the building when built. The parking lot in back of Delaroche is where I witnessed Lanier fucking his white girlfriend in 1968.
Cutco is a trip. Used to make Ka-Bar knives for the military. Had a motherfuckin' Ka-Bar in the 'nam. Got it in a trade for half a case of CC - the half-case that mf Cadillac didn't have a chance scarf 'cause he was on R&R . A very nice blade as I recall.
Aloha!

Wow...that means he's the second Cheers alumnus to set foot in Olean. Woody Harrellson brought his band (yes, band), Manly Moondog and the Three Cool Cats, to the RC Spring Weekend 1994. Yeah, we could've gotten Alice in Chains, the Spin Doctors, or Blues Traveler, but "Stone Cold" Steve Plesac in his infinite wisdom decided that the kids wanted Woody Boyd from Cheers.
