I'm watching this for the first time. Unfortunately I only get a few minutes a day to hop on a computer at work. This site got me thinking about something I was pondering the other day.
I was watching some show where a boat was out whale watching. There were dolphins swimming along with the boat like I've seen many times. For some reason, this time, I thought, "wow, what if you've never seen or heard of a dolphin before and all of a sudden you're out on a boat and these things are swimming along with you?"
I've thought of this many times, most notably when I had to read Lewis and Clark. Like seeing a field of thousands of Buffalo, animals you've never seen before. How fuckin nuts would that be?
Then I got depressed because living in this day and age, there's not much that you can't see or learn without leaving your house. Like this site. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty I love about living in this era (computer porn one of the most notable: how did a kid beat off living in a small farm house with 6 siblings before TV, magazines, etc? I guess that's why people got married so young).
I just felt bad that there's less surprise and intrigue into other cultures, sites, animals, and more because we can see all this stuff via TV and internet. Wow, I sound like fuckin Senior Forum with all this globalization crap.
Sorry for the faggot rant.

There were a whole pack of zebra last night...I kept hoping a lion was going to come pounce on one, but sadly they got away.
