Artie Lange's Beer League
Saw this movie in Yonkers before the Yankees game last Saturday. Solid film. I don't want to give too much away but basically it's a movie that any of you who have every played in a softball league where the drinking is more important than the softball will love. I saw this movie with a fellow bevelator, Heemeehead, and three other bona alumni. We all enjoyed it, even those who aren't Howard Stern fans.
The movie hasn't been released nationwide yet, and is only available in certain areas. Look for it in a theatre near you September 29th.
4 out of 5 Alba Asses up. A truly great Bevelator film.

This off-the-beaten-path comedy stars Steve Carell of '40 Year Old Virgin' and 'The Office' fame, along with Greg Kinnear. Kinnear has always been hit or miss during his career (mostly miss) but usually is strongest as a compliment to the comedy as opposed to being the actual comedy character in a movie (see As Good As It Gets). I don't really want to give away anything, but let me just say this movie concludes at a beauty pageant for little girls. The whole movie is pretty damn funny but the final scenes are unbelievable. Go see this movie! 4.5 Alba asses out of 5 from me.

Anybody see Beerfest? saw it one afternoon and laughed my ass off, granted I had low expectations and that'll make any good movie seem better cause you're plesantly surprised. It's every cheesy joke you see coming but inbetween is some real genius. Also, the blatant boobies in the begining is worth the price of admission. From the same people as Super Troopers

I saw Beerfest and also laughed my ass off. The opening scene caught me off guard and set the tone for the movie. Farva's character is great.

And now I will see Jackass 2 after reading this from cnn.com
"Knoxville alone face-plants into asphalt, gets bitten by an anaconda (twice), gets gored (more than once) by a bull, drinks horse semen, punches a bear trap, and just hangs on for dear life as a big red rocket launches him high up over a lake. How -- especially after two movies -- is he or someone from his crew not dead eight times over? "

I saw The Departed this weekend. Fantastic movie. Scorsese at his finest. This movie is nearly as great as Goodfellas. It just might be, but I'll need to see it a few more times to know. There aren't many movies I see at the movie theatre that I buy when they come out on DVD, but this will be one of them for sure. This one is an instant classic. The ending will leave you speechless.
5 out of 5 Alba Asses.

Cosmo, thank God you are out of your "Tell Everyone How The Movie Ends" phase. If you ruined the end of this movie for me, you would have gotten such a SMITING! And to show you just how angry I was, I'd add in a red frowny emoticon. That would sure show you!
As is, consider yourself EXALTED for not blowing the end of the movie for me. It shows our little administrator is all growed up!

i like how Nicholson says in preview "just kill everyone" cool. Nicholson was an absolute riot. He has some very classy Bevelator style quotes in the movie.

I can't wait to see this movie now, thanks Cosmo.
On a separate note, I watched Batman Begins this weekend with my girlfriend. The way Bruce Wayne is portrayed is much different than any other Batman movie, but its comes together very nicely at the end. I felt this was clearly the best of all of the Batman movies, probably because it lacked that dark, creepy Tim Burton touch and wasn't loaded up with overrated talent like the previous 'blockbuster' Batman movies. No Arnold, no Tommy Lee Jones, no Danny DiVito (worst villian ever?), no Chris O'Donnell or Alicia Silverstone. Just a solid, solid movie.

Batman and Robin might be the worst movie of all time. We talked the other day about movies being so bad they're funny, but Batman and Robin is so awful I almost feel sorry for the people in it.
Captain Picard should have been Mr. Freeze. We would have been saved from terrible lines like, "ICE to see you," and "CHILL. OUT." Arnold is not a scientist. He should never 'act' as anything but a homicidal cyborg, homicidal commando, super action government agent in the present or on Mars, a pregnant man, a kindergarden teacher, Danny DeVito's twin, or a Republican governor. Jingle All The Way rules.

I love Burton's first Batman. The second one's a little too dark and creepy for me, but the first is great. After that they sucked more and more.
The Batman comics were pretty dark and rough.
If anyone disagrees that they reached higher and higher levels of shittiness, until Batman Begins, I will smite the poop out of you.

The first one, where Michael Keaton fought the Joker was good, all the others were some of the worst movies. They should've let Adam West play Batman in those turds and made them satires. The only thing to justify Arnold as a scientist and all the shitty dialoge is this man as the dark knight:
